BRASS MEMORIAL PLAQUES

In many churches, including our own, there are memorials to various people, who have helped build up the parish community. In many instances they are memorials to deceased loved ones. We are proposing that, if you would like to remember a loved one either living or deceased, that you would have an opportunity to do so. There will be two possibilities, an individual plaque on a seat somewhere (chosen by you) in the church or on a large plaque with other names on the wall behind the baptismal font near the plaque in memory of Monsignor Maher. The individual plaques, made from the highest quality brass, rectangular in shape, can be placed one at each end of existing seats. The text on it will be “In memory of” or “Please pray for, “with the name/s below it. The plaques will be similar to ones already in parts of the church. The cost of an individual plaque (inclusive of cost of making the plaque): €300.

The other possibility will be to have names on a large plaque. It will have images of Our Lady Help of Christians and the church etched on it and “Please pray for,” with the names below it. The cost (inclusive of plaque): € 100.

The names on both types of plaque can be deceased or living. It would be a lovely gift, a tangible and beautiful way of honoring those we love. A gift certificate will be provided to send to someone, being remembered. Mass will be celebrated in the church annually for all those named on the plaques.

For further information call into the parish office or ask any of the priests.
